Lauren Froderman coming to Toledo & Orange County Co. Dance!

On August 12, 2010, Lauren Froderman was America's pick to win the title of Favorite Dancer on “So You Think You Can Dance.”   Lauren is the show's seventh winner, adding one more name to the list of talented performers who have been voted into the winning spot since 2005.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Lauren has been dancing since she was three years old. At the age of 18, Lauren is among the youngest winners on the show. Her prior dance experience includes 12 years of competitive training in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and a little bit of tap.

Lauren's dance idols include the classical genius, Mikhail Baryshnikov and pop icon, Michael Jackson. Prior to working with them on the show, Lauren has trained with SYTYCD choreographers Sonya Tayeh, Mandy Moore, Tyce Diorio, Travis Wall, and Wade Robson.

Despite the fact that Lauren is Season 7's winner and loves to dance, her dreams for her future include going to college and becoming a teacher. She plans to use her SYTYCD winnings to help pay for tuition.  Co. Dance is thrilled to have Lauren join us in Toledo and Orange County on our 2010-2011 “Be U” Tour!

Nick Florez Choreographs Katy Perry’s Performance on X-Factor

Kudos to NICK FLOREZ who choreographed KATY PERRY’S performance on Britain’s hit show “X Factor.”  Perry owned the stage in this literal interpretation of her new single "Firework.”  Nick held his auditions in London and hired 6 dancers and 4 specialty dancers for the show.  The performance was amazing . . . even Simon Cowell was impressed!  The cameras caught him saying "Wow" at the end of the performance.  Check out the link to view the performance and stay tuned for more from Nick and Katy.  Nick will be choreographing Katy Perry's upcoming performance on the European Music Awards in Madrid, Spain

Lauren Froderman Wins SYTYCD!

Co. Dance congratulates Lauren Froderman for winning Season 7 on Fox's hit show "So You Think You Can Dance."  This Arizona native from Bender Performing Arts was the 2009 Co. We are also so proud of our own Lauren Gottlieb for an outstanding season as one of the first ever All-Star dancers on SYTYCD.  Lauren came in 3rd on Season 3 and has been a staple of the show ever since.  Congratulations on a great season!
