Katie Schaar

A former Co. Dance Assistant Teacher and Apprentice, Katie is a star on the rise with her diverse dance background and innovative choreography. ??

After studying dance at Loyola Marymount University, Katie has gone on to acquire many professional credits including her most recent work with Tyce Diorio choreographing Nickelodeon's “Big Time Rush” and Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva,”

Katie has worked with Jordin Sparks, Catherine Zeta Jones, Katie Holmes, and Paula Abdul and choreographed the feature film “Dream in American.” 

She was the featured dancer in Tyce Diorio’s staging of “Oklahoma” at the Fulton Opera House and also danced in the 75th year Gallo Wine Gala at the MGM Grand choreographed by Mia Michaels. She was an assistant choreographer on Celine Dion’s “Taking Chances” World Tour and for Cher at Caesar’s Palace. She has also been seen assisting Tyce Diorio, Mia Michaels, and Garry Stewart on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance.”

Other credits include “Dancing with the Stars” with Michael Rooney, “America’s Got Talent” with David Hasselhoff, "Dance Machine" on ABC, and “I Can’t Believe it’s Not Butter” commercial with Meghan Mullally, the Jerry Lewis Telethon, and Spain’s dance reality show, “Quiero Bailar.”
